NMM was established in Kuala Lumpur, November 1989 by the late founder Mr. Hiroshi Asakura, whose primary aim was to provide trading and logistics services to Japanese MNCs in Malaysia. NMM has since made its mark as an important partner supporting various manufacturers in the audio visual industry locally and internationally. 

While NMM had undergone several changes in its share holder/s (from New Material Company to New Material Services to Mitsui Bussan Frontier and now, since September 2007, the Texchem Group), NMM continues to grow positively and have extensively created its own network to facilitate the demands of its customers.

With the recent acquisition by the Texchem Group, NMM has been placed in the Industrial Division of the group (www.texchemgroup.com). The new environment will further enhance and secure NMM’s role in the market.
